Local Electricians Serving Those Who Have Served Our Country
As a veteran founded company, Grounded Solutions has a heart for those who have served our country. Last week, the team at Grounded Solutions had the opportunity to give back to our veterans by participating in building a tiny house for an Indiana veteran who is living without a home. White’s was able to donate time to complete all of the electrical work that would make the home useable to the veteran.
This home may be tiny, but the difference it will make for a veteran is huge. The home was donated to the Disabled American Veterans Department of Indiana at the Midwest Outdoor Expo at Lucas Oil Stadium on March 25th. The event was attended by Indiana State Senator, Joe Donnelly. In the coming weeks, the group will choose a veteran who is without a home and present them with the tiny home. The home will also be completely furnished, and can be moved around.
The State of Indiana estimates that as many as 600 veterans are living without homes in our state, making up a quarter of Marion County’s homeless population. State Commander Jerry Fivecoat says the tiny house will have a life-changing impact. “When they come off the street and have a home of their own, it’s going to create an entirely new life for them,” he says.
Thank you to our veterans!
Grounded Solutions is proud to have had the opportunity to serve those who have served our country. We continue to look for ways to give back to our veterans in our community. Because we know the sacrifices each of our veterans have made for our freedom are anything but small, we want to extend our gratitude to our veterans. Thank you for your service!
